As the second zone in the park based on a beloved Dreamworks movie, Madagascar USS (Universal Studios Singapore) brings to life the beloved animal characters of the movie Madagascar.
From everyone's favorite zebra Marty to Gloria the curvy and vivacious hippo, guests can enjoy meeting their favorite characters in costume and experiencing the adventures of the film for themselves.

The premier attraction of the Madagascar USS zone is the Madagascar: the Crate Adventure ride. Guests enter the ride on large wooden boats, which seat up to twenty-four passengers, to begin their journey. As they drift down the river and into 'Madagascar' they meet the characters from the movie, who guide them through their adventures. Guests experience all of the excitement of the film in person, including the terror of being confronted by the crazy lemurs!
One of the most intriguing aspects of the ride is that the arch-villain himself, King Julien, a lemur like no other, is actually a live character. Details as to what King Julien will do on the ride have yet to be released, but interaction with a live character on a ride is an exciting and new development. At the end of the ride guests will enjoy a brief but thrilling splash down.
For the family with smaller children or guests who enjoy a tamer ride there is also King Julien's Beach Party-Go-Round, a carousel with unique character. Or should I say unique characters, specifically those from the film Madagascar.
But this is no ordinary merry go-round with pulsing polka music, after all, would King Julien approve of that? Of course not! Instead the characters of Madagascar rise and fall to the beat of disco music that would make any lemur, or human, tap his feet.
Madagascar USS is also a unique zone because it can be considered the first or last zone in the park depending on which way guests turn when they leave the Hollywood USS zone. Guests leaving Madagascar or entering from the Hollywood zone will be stunned to see a life size replica of a ship at the entrance to Madagascar, meant to replicate the ship that the zoo animals fell off of at the start of their adventure in Madagascar. Representatives for Universal Studios Singapore have even compared the ship to the fabled Titanic, meaning that this is one gargantuan piece of scenery for the park!
By the time they reach Madagascar USS many guests will be tuckered and famished, and the zone caters remarkably well to hungry stomachs. For a sit down meal visitors can dine at Marty's Casa Del Wild, based on the restaurant owned by the zebra Marty in the movie. Fare includes Southeast Asian dishes such as nasi padang, pad thai, and chicken rice.
If guests are looking for a quick bite to eat they can head over to Gloria's Snack Shack, which features quick, Japanese inspired dishes like yakitori and rice bowls.
Of course, guests can't forget souvenirs, and Penguin Mercantile is the perfect place to snag some gear. Inside the shop guests can find memorabilia from the movie and gifts based on the rides in the park.
Perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends the Madagascar USS zone promises to deliver non-stop fun for guests of Universal Studios Singapore.
