For your information: Underwater World had closed down in June 2016
Sentosa Underwater World is an entertaining and educational oceanarium that everyone of us should not miss. My kids and myself love it so much that we stay there for hours just for this attraction. I was delighted to discover that the underwater world is full of amazing sea creatures.
If you have never been to any of the underwater world, I strongly recommend you to take a look at this one since you have come all the way to Sentosa. You will be amazed by looking at these unique and stunning sea creatures.
Try putting your hands into the touch pool and catch the fishes. It's never been easy, but the fun is there.
If any one of you are daring enough, you have the chance to feed the stingray in the touch pool. My kids thought that was fun and made me paid S$3 to buy the feed for them. I was delighted by their courage. However, no one really dare to. Instead of feeding by hand as demonstrated by the staff there, they throw the feed one by one into the pool. Really, looking at their face, as shown in the following right photo, do you dare to take the challenge?
It's interesting to see how the seahorses move around. They don't rash. I like their cool character, take life easy. The seadragons are another strange creatures. It's like branches of leaves grown out of their body. If they don't move, you can hardly tell that's a living creature.
Seeing is believing, and that's what I thought initially. The jelly fish were colorful, they change from one color to another. Do you think so?
This acrylic tunnel makes the sea creatures come close to us. There are too much to see at one go. Take your time and go through a second round if needed.
As Underwater World is located in Sentosa Island, first check out the way to get to Sentosa Island, then take the Sentosa Express and alight at the Beach Station. From there, take Bus 1 to the Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon.
